INSTITUTES OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT (IHMs) / FOOD CRAFT INSTITUTES (FCIs)
The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition are autonomous organizations registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and are managed by their respective Boards of Governors. These Institutes located at 21 places conduct various regular courses in the field of Hotel Management for meeting the manpower needs at middle level management in the hotel industry. The Institutes also offer short duration craft level courses. Besides, there are 8 State IHMs and 12 Private IHMs affiliated to the NCHMCT.
There are in all 5 Food Craft Institutes functioning under the State/UT Governments, but following the courses of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
